Caroline has worked in the field of mental health for several years in KW and the surrounding community, most recently at the Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region.
Caroline practices from a culturally sensitive, intersectional feminist, and trauma-informed perspective. In her sessions, she strives for clients to feel seen, celebrated, and accepted. Every client is different and so are their sessions! Caroline will work with you to determine what is working, what isn’t, and what you can discover together. Caroline is sex and kink positive, supportive of ethical non-monogamy, spiritually open, and 2SLGBTQ+ affirming. For individual clients, Caroline enjoys using Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Strengths-Based, Narrative Therapy, and Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy. Caroline draws from Emotion Focused Therapy and Gottman Method when working with couples and relationships.
Caroline has a special interest in working with religious trauma, students/young adults, and sexual violence due to lived experiences. Additionally, she has experience working with BPD, anxiety, depression, suicidality, gender, sexuality, domestic violence, family conflict, relationship issues, relationship therapy, sex therapy, harm by professional helpers, and self-esteem.
Caroline is described as fun, conversational, down to earth, compassionate, and hardworking by loved ones and clients. She knows how intimidating therapy can be and believes it is a huge privilege to walk alongside her clients. In her off time, Caroline loves spending time with her partner and cats, playing video games, going camping or hiking, renovating her home, and listening to podcasts.
Many Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and extended health care plans will cover services rendered by a Registered Psychotherapist, Qualifying.
