Certain therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychoanalytic Therapy are well known in mainstream culture, while others are less known but also evidenced based and very effective. Examples of these are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Existential, Relational, and Sex Therapy.
